For 2011, the Dodge Grand Caravan is redesigned, with new exterior styling, new premium interior, new features and a new 3.6-litre V6 that replaces the previous 3.3-litre and 4.0-litre V6 engines. New standard or available features include a heated steering wheel, front seat side airbags, driver’s knee airbag, Super Console with pass-through storage, Super Stow ‘n Go with one-touch fold-down, and blind spot and rear cross-path monitoring systems.
The Grand Caravan uses a 3.6-litre V6 with six-speed automatic transmission. Trim levels are the SE Canada Value Package, SXT Stow ‘n Go, Crew and R/T. The model is also available as the Chrysler Town & Country.
Features on the SE Canada Value include 16-inch steel wheels, dual-zone temperature control, keyless entry, power mirrors, power front windows, tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, soft-touch instrument panel, second-row bench seat with in-floor storage tubs, third-row Stow ‘n Go seating, CD/MP3 stereo with four speakers, selectable fuel economizer mode, and driver’s knee airbag.
An SE Plus Group option adds 16-inch alloy wheels, deep tint sunscreen glass, and power second- and third-row windows.
The SXT Stow ‘n Go builds on the SE and adds second-row Super Stow ‘n Go, deep-tint sunscreen glass, tailgate rear seats, floor console, easy-clean floor mats, body-colour body side mouldings and door handles, and black roof side rails and crossbars.
An SXT Plus group option adds 16-inch alloy wheels, power second- and third-row windows, body-colour sill appliqué and leather-wrapped steering wheel. Other available options include power sliding doors and liftgate, and a media centre with navigation.
The Crew builds on the SXT Stow ‘n Go and adds 17-inch alloy wheels, tri-zone automatic climate control, eight-way power driver’s seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, electronic vehicle information centre, LED interior lighting, fog lamps, and bright door belt, body side mouldings and roof rack.
The R/T adds polished wheels, sport suspension, body-colour grille and mouldings, metal-look interior trim, garage door opener, leather seats with power passenger adjustment, nine speakers, rear entertainment system, and rearview camera, and does not have a roof rack.
